Habitat: Vegetation: Roadside thickets dominated by ericaceous shrubs.
Description: Terrestrial shrub with branches to 2 m tall; inflorescence bracts deep scarlet, the lowermost reflexed; immature floral bracts grass-green becoming pinkish at base & red distally; calyx cream-coloured; lower 3/4 of corolla white, upper 1/4 pale yellowish-green.
Miscellaneous notes: One population seen.
