Habitat: Steep slope, limestone, forest
Description: Tree, buttressed at base; height 60 feet, bole 20 feet, d.b.h. 20 ins; outer bark brown, smooth except for corky pustules; inner pink, fibrous. Sapwood straw. Leaves mid green above, paler beneath; old leaves red, young leaves pale bronzy. Flowers creamy, fairly wide open. Fruit ellipsoid, gree, smooth.
