Habitat: Disturbed but relatively good montane forest
Description: Small tree, quite common 3 m tall. Bark dark brown, under surface black; under bark greenish; inner bark straw turning brown. Wood straw. Leaves to 0.75 m long, 13-jugate, base swollen, slightly rigid, dark shining green above, paler and dull below. Flowers: calyx greenish, corolla yellow. Flowers S/M.
