Habitat: Nothofagus-Phyllocladus forest with dense mosses in the under storey
Description: Tree, height 12 m. bole 7 m. d.b.h. 18 cm. Outer bark brown, inner bark pink. Softwood yellow-brown, hardwood pink. Leaves shiny dark green above, mid-green below, young leaves pink. Flowers yellow. Fruit shiny black.
