Collecting locality: Colombia:Distrito Capitál de Santa Fé de Bogotá:State of Boyaca, Region El Humbo, 130 Miles due north of Bogota.
Habitat: High forested fronts.
Description: 40-150 ft, 2-4 ft diameter, flowers with slight odor, bright canary yellow. No fruit. 3 narrow petals with one lip which bends back, at base of lip flower continues into small tail with one long projecting stigma curveing upwards.
Miscellaneous notes: Material collected flowering stems. Common name: 'Orcano'.
