Collecting locality: Malaysia:Sabah:Ranau, Mt. Kinabalu, summit trail through ultramafic soil, just before Pondok villosa.
Habitat: Leptospermum recurvum forest.
Description: Small tree to low shrub 2-3 m high. Trunk to 3.5 cm diameter, bark pale grey brown, smooth to loghtly fissured; inner bark pale green. Leaves rigid with a purplish crenate margin with glands. Corolla olive green outside, inside cream, the basal part pale-hairy inside. Style green, stigma orange-brown with short spreading hairs.
