Habitat: sandstone rocks intersected by small streams, with some disturbed areas by roadside
Description: subshrub from woddy base with more or less herbaceous stems to 1.75m. Leaves aromatic rather coriaceous, rather greasy-looking above, mid green, slightly paler beneath. Stems purple-tinged. Sepals grey-green, tinged purple. Corolla violet-blue with slight whitish zones with darker veins at base of lobes on upper lip. Fruiting calyx deep blackish-purple within.
