Description: Flowers in umbellate truss, 10--15 flowers per truss. Flowers short tubular campanulate. Corolla 10--25 x 20--30 mm; lobes 5, margins flat. Flower-buds green. Corolla inside and out yellow-orange 16A (1995). Calyx 1 mm, green. Anthers dark brown. Leaves ovate-elliptic, 50--140 x 25--50 mm, margin decurved, broadly tapering at base, apex shortly acuminate; indumentum scales, silver when young maturing to brown. Plant 0.8 x 0.5 m. Flowering period irregular, mostly spring. Hardiness tender.
