Collecting locality: Colombia:Departamento de Boyacá:El Numbo:130 miles due north of Bagota.
Habitat: Forested fronts near water.
Description: Height 40-50 ft. Diameter 8-12 inches. Flower slightly fleshy white with brown stamens. Flower is of no particular shape at all. Flowering stems. Flower unfurls from a sheath. Black staining substance is contained in stem and innner bark. This could have been easily missed.
Miscellaneous notes: Wood used in hut construction.
