Habitat: In more open parts of the seasonal tropical forest
Description: Tree, 9 m height, rachis 130cm length, spines 2-7 cm length covering all of stem. Old remnants of petioles persist and project from the top of the stem. Stem (7 cm dbh) is solitary (not clustered).
