Habitat: On limestone ridge of degraded forest just northwest of Bat Dai Son border Station; collection in forest above cultivation. (Forest possibly burned ca. 25 years ago or so, only small trees and few fire-tolerant herbs)
Description: Occasional tree to 10m; at ridgetop; foliage of two types; juvenile narrow and spine-tipped, with 2 parallel, almost white stripe beneath; adult of decussate spine-tippedleaves; male cones yellowish with green bracts; female cones (immature) light green at branch tips, mature cones dull brown; stem and cones (mature) with aromatic clear resin; upper stem brown.
