Latitude: 1°35'S, Longitude: 99°12'E

Habitat: Slope on a small hill near river in secondary forest.

Description: Terrestrial herb, 2-3 m, in clump. Sheath yellow-green blotched red. Lamina yellow-green, finely plicate, pubescent below. Inflorescence at base, peduncle 5 cm, bracts dead and brown, fertile bract white with purple tip; dorsal petal lobe purple, lateral pale purple, tip of labellum praemorse, stamen cream with petaloid purple crest. Infructescence in heads of spiny, green fruits. One fruit ca. 4 cm across, globular.
