Description: Unifoliate with secondary leaves, perennial; leaves purplish beneath; flowers at bud stage scarlet-maroon above, pale green below, when developed pale lavender-mauve, each lobe marked with three purple lines which are continued into the tube, lower part of tube also dotted.
