Description: Perennial: leaves rather deep green, furrowed above, pale green with reddish purple veins below; scapes erect, purplish with scattered white hairs; calyx and pedicels green tinged purplish; corolla limb bright violet with a deep violet mark in the throat; filaments violet; anthers white; ovary and style short and stigma not visible; inflorescence very glandular
