Habitat: In warm moist mixed broad leaved forest, Quercus, Lithocarpus, Betula, Lauraceae, e.t.c.
Description: Tree up to 15m, needles in fives, drooping, glaucous green beneath. Young shoots pubescant.
Miscellaneous notes: Fairly common in the district in warm moist mixed broad leaved forest. Habitat quite different from that of _P. wallichiana_ and _P. roxburghii_ which are restricted to arid valleys.
