Collecting locality: Indonesia:Sulawesi Selatan:Enrekang District; Latimojong Mts.; flat saddle area between Bunte Djakke and Rampunan Tekken.
Habitat: Mixed high montane forest; frequent locally on heavy loam in shade.
Description: Stout herb to 2 m.; 6-7 lves. fresh and present at one time, slightly undulate at the margin, mid-green above, paler grey-green beneath; rachis, sometimes turning at right angles, green; bracteole reddish-brown; outer tepals salmon-pink to orange, inner parts of the fl. yellow; ovary bright green.
