Habitat: Coniferous forest with bamboo and scattered broad-leaved deciduous trees. Growing on steep slope under bamboo in partial shade.
Description: Evergreen shrub ca. 0.5 m tall. Leaves brown beneath. Corolla tipped with red changing to salmon and then brown, rest of corolla brownish red. Anthers deep purple.
