Habitat: Growing in moist loose loam or broken clay soil in open banks, or among dense tangled forest growths in humus. Usually in fairly shady places.
Description: Plant with long rambling stolons leaving ither plants but apparently no tubers. Stems (when in open) 40 to 50cm tall, when growing amongst trees up to 200cm tall, blanched at base, pigmented all way up. Leaves 4-jugate with remote narrow segments, pointed darkish green, moderately hairy. Corolla pale bluish-mauve paler in centre of lobes or towards apices, well dissected 2-2.5cm diam. anthers small, 6mm long. Fruits long, conical 2 grooved, to about 3.5cm. Long, medium to pale green, abundant.
