Collecting locality: Papua New Guinea:West New Britain:Gorge below Yau Yau Village, 20km SE of Salelubu, in Nakanai Range, along the Waisalau-Yau Yau track
Habitat: Dense rain forest of Bubb., Eucalyptu., Dilleni., Eugeni., Ficu.etc.
Description: calyx and corolla greenish-white, calyx appressed to corolla and rotting away (often) by anthesis. Very congested inflorescences, bracts and pedicels separated by very short internodes. Leaves up to 30cm broad and 60cm long. Fruit greenish-white, fleshy. Corolla regular, inflorescence slimy. Large herb 1-2m high
