Collecting locality: Papua New Guinea:New Ireland:Namatanai Sub-district; Hans Meyer range, Danfu river valley about 8km west and upstream of the Danfu Bridge nr. Manga
Habitat: Limestone ridge c.3km. south of the river; forest with Podocarpus and Eugenia spp.; in shade on steep slope
Description: Shrub or treelet to 4m. high; the stems (orange within on exposure) bare and branched; lves. and infl. terminal; lves. in a whorled, spreading erect cluster; dark green above, paler yellowish-green beneath; bracts and calyx greenish-cream, flushed pink; corolla pale lime green; anthers pale buff, filaments brown; style and stigma lime green
