Habitat: River flood plain near base camp; forest dominated by terminalia brassii and Pometia pinnat.; in crevices of limestone rock standing isolated above the general forest floor level (acommon feature of the flood plain forest); deep shade din crevices
Description: Large soft-stemmed sub-shrub to 2m., erect with few branches and spreading side shoots; older stems greenish-buff, other stems mid-green; petioles yellowish-green, lamina midgreen above, greyish-green beneath; bracts and flowers greenish-cream; flowers white
