Description: Succulent leaved herb with slightly glaucous leaves having widely spaced white spines. Plants sometimes semi-pendant. Pendant red flowers 4 - 8 cm long. The exserted stamens with purple filaments, orange sap, no scent. Up to 40 spikes per inflorescence.
