Habitat: HArd granite sand in fairly wide flat wadi.
Description: A fleshy spike 30 cm tall with grey bracts. Reddish purple flowers 2 cm wide with very woolly anthers.
Miscellaneous notes: The common yellow forms grow nearby. Parasitic on _Sabola_ sp.
