Miscellaneous notes: Group minutissimae Pax. I can not find any parallel to the length of [illegible] in any recorded Primula. Those of P.minutissima Jacq. + var B spathulata are described by Pax as ''abbreviati, foliosi'' (Pax. Monog. Primulaceae in Pflanzenreich, 1905) which thesea re not. Cf figures in Pax has no specimen of B spathulata unless the 2nd sheet - ''Tauthig 1885'' is it. [Added later is response] (Yes!) No. 2631 has very slender corolla tube, calyx and lobes obtuse & leaves large for the group. [Signed] W.W.Smith
