Habitat: On cliffs and rocks, along the granite ridge not far beyond no. 8233 but the two not growing in company. This species grows on the bare cliff face in shade; no. 8233 on grassy ledges, where it gets more sun.
Description: Flowers dark purple, calyx and leaves thickly coated with meal.
