Description: Rosulate plant to 10 cms. high; upper surface of leaves velutinous darkish green nerves often picked out by a paler-yellowish-green, pubescent ± long erect hairs interspersed with more numerous short erect hairs, margins often inviolute, lower surface purplish-crimson; inflorescence 2-5 flowered, corolla pale mauve, the base of upper lip and eye intense violet purple fading through mauve to white at the tips; fruit greenish brown narrowly ovoid apex ± acute to ovoid twice lenght of calyx lobes, pubescent hairs ± forward directed.
