ROYAL BOTANIC GARDEN WUT E00940931 fd Flora of Belize Euphorbiaceae Alchorneopsis Stann Creek: Sittee River Forest Reserve, Mount Mossy summit; ~6km southwest of Middlesex and the Hummingbird Highway, immediately south of a tributary of South Branch of the North Stann Creek river. 920 m 16°58'16" N, 88°32'55" W Frequent 15 m canopy tree, single trunk with smooth grey bark & lenticels. Fallen leaves collected. Submontane hilltop forest to 15 m dominated by Purdiaea belizensis, Clusia sp., Euterpe precatoria, Cyrilla racemiflora, Ternstroemia tepezapote, Colpothrinax cookii and Dendropanax arboreus. Understory dominated by Anthurium sp., Psychotria elata & Synecanthus fibrosus. All trees covered in mosses & epiphytes, leaf litter is thick & spongy. Granite bedrock.
