Submontane hilltop forest to 15 m dominated by Purdiaea belizensis, Clusia sp., Euterpe precatoria, Cyrilla racemiflora, Ternstroemia tepezapote, Colpothrinax cookii and Dendropanax arboreus. Understory dominated by Anthurium sp., Psychotria elata & Synecanthus fibrosus. All trees covered in mosses & epiphytes, leaf litter is thick & spongy. Granite bedrock.
