Chatrou Det by Z.A.Goodwin on Sep 07 Belize: Corozal District, 1.5 km S of Sarteneja; Tubroos farm. 18° 19° 38" N 88° 9° 14.2" W (WGS84) Tropical, Deciduous, lowland, seasonal forest, canopy ~18 m dominated by Caesalpinia gaumeri, Metopium brownei, Bursera simaruba & Cecropia sp. Altitude: <10m Disturbed edge of forest, thin red-brown soil over soft limestone bedrock. Small subcanopy tree 5 m, brought down by recent hurricane (Dean, 1 month previously); green-yellow flowers which attract ants & unripe fruit with >30 monocarps on pale pink pedicels.
