Amazonas, Utcubamba, Close to village Cumba, 1.5hours drive South
along a dirt road that turns off from main road Jaén - Bagua Grande.
Follow a small road from the village to river Purga, where road crosses
the river and turns up towards the hills. Plant found along a small path
along the river.

Gallery forest along a river, with Vallesia, Annona, Tamarindus;
surrounded by dry forest vegetation.
Slender tree 4m tall. Bark thin, smooth, light brown. Long spines at leaf
axis. Branches hanging down with axillary inflorescences, Flowers
curved upwards in the inflorescences. Flowers lilac. Fruits orange.
