Collected along the roadside 12 minute walk from Gota de Agua towards Jaén. 5° 41'61" S, 78°46'66" W alt. 800m Fragmented area of disturbed scrubby seasonally dry forest vegetation along road side, with Ceiba insignis, Bougainvillea, Jacquinia, Croton, Capparis flexuosa, Malpighiaceae lianas and Asteraceae herbs. Woody liana. Calyx light yellow, with green glands. Petals bright orange. Filaments pale yellow, anthers cream. Stigma green. Fruits and flowers.
