Road to Nueva Esperanza starts from 10km south from Cumba towards Yamon on the left hand side. 5°56'65" S, 78°36'27" W alt. 1300m Growing in amongst low seasonally dry scrubby vegetation, with Exostema corymbosa, Myrsine, Dodonea viscosa, Cyathostegia matthewsii, Tecoma rosifolia, Lantana. Woody shrublet 0.5-1m high. Square stem cross-section. Bracts discolorous, slightly purple-tinged. Corolla orange with purple patch on the mouth of the tube. No smell on leaves.
