Esperance Tarn to Hartz Peak. Exposed heath
and boulder fields. 1100 m. A. procumbens
also known from Snowy Mtn Range and Mt
Picton. Altitudinal distribution on Hartz
Peak limited to top 50m; very restricted.

Tufted perennial herb; prostrate in humus
pockets among boulders; mat forming and
spreading to 50cm; tufts connected by
underground stems (usually covered with old
leaf remains, roots emerging below branch
junction - not true rhizomes); sap milk
sticky. Leaves lime green, soft, not : Ys
tipped, twice divided. Male flowers oo.
