Streamside banks in tussock grassland and Dracophyllum scrub. 950 m. 43°17'40"S, 171°44'34"E Rosette perennial herb, often in clusters of 4 or more. Basal rosette to lm across, female spike to 2m (males shorter), leaves glaucous. Infloresence axis yellow green. Bracts pale green turning yellow, flowering stems to 6cm thick at base, sap clear.
