Primary forest; hill Dipterocarp forest, major associates
include: Shorea, Quercus, Helicia. Ridge and Surrounding
slopes, red clay soil. Occasional.
Morphology:
Tree 9 mt all, 8 cm dbh. Outer bark grey, smooth. Inner bark
pale yellow. Wood hard. Leaves pale light green beneath
veins sunken above. Calyx pale greenish-yellow, Male flow
with 4 stout stamens, appearing as receptacle. a
