Leaves aromatic, laxly lepthdote on both surfaces. Pedicel and calyx laxly lepidote, ovary densely SO, style glabrous. On bare ledges of granite cliffs, fully exposed, where it forms peffectly flat mats with Cassiope and other species. Cf. 5876 collected in Tibet, 1924. These two seem to be closely allied.
