Elev. 3530 m 27° 46’ 20" N, 98° 26’ 48" E Bamboo and Rhododendron thicket with adjacent meadow areas. Prostrate shrub to 5 cm tall. Fruit brown, persistent calyx and pedicel red. Growing in humus over boulders in alpine turf.
