Vicinity of km 58 km on the road from Lushui to Pianma, W side of Gaoligong Shan. Elev. 2810 m 25° 58’ 49" N, 98° 40’ 43" E NW facing 10-30° slope. Subtropical evergreen broadleaf forest. Disturbed by agriculture. Secondary subtropical evergreen forest disturbed by agriculture. Shrub ca. 1 m tall. Flowers yellow. Occasional. Growing in slope. In loam on shale.
