Track through open woody savanna. Open savanna grassland with occasional Acoelorraphe wrightii clumps & Byrsonima crassifolia 1 m. Trackside surrounded by occasional Pinus caribaea 8 m (<5%); shrub layer (20%) of abundant Byrsonima crassifolia 5 m, frequent Curatella americana 5 m Miconia albicans 2 m, Conostegia icosandra 3 m, & Clidemia strigillosa 1.5 m. Herb layer dominated by grasses with abundant Cassytha filiformis. Partially burnt ~2 weeks previously, otherwise not burnt for 4 years.
