Coccoloba P. Browne
Belize: Ambergris Caye; 7 Km South of San Pedro at very
southern tip of Ambergris Caye.
17°52'55" N, 88°00'52" W
Occasional tree 5 m; peeling bark; slight stilt roots.
Canopy 12-15 m with abundant Coccoloba sp., frequent
Bursera simaruba, Pouteria campechiana, Guazuma ulmifolia,
Ficus sp., Citharexylum sp. & Thrinax radiata with a dense
understory of abundant Picramnia antidesma & frequent
Psychotria sp. Plenty of human disturbance (looters) and
cultivated species such as Cocos nucifera & Coccoloba
uvifera.
