Open woody savanna grassland. Rare sparsely scattered Pinus caribaea to 18 m (<5%) canopy; sparse shrub layer of occasional Acoelorraphe wrightii 3-5 m, Byrsonima crassifolia 3 (-8) m & rare Curatella americana 3 m. Herb layer dominated by grasses, currently dry but clearly poorly drained (deep tussock formations).
