Southern Highway along BFREE access road, ~500 m north
of access road.

Occasional vine growing through Conostegia icosandra &
Clidemia capitellata; milky white sap; flowers with yellow
corolla, red on inside, white pubescent on outside; fruit pair of
long pods, white pubescent on outside; fed on by green snake-
mimicking caterpillar (see photos).

Fringe between pine savanna woodland & broadleaf gallery
forest. Pine savanna woodland with frequent Pinus caribaea
20 m (<5%) & rare Vochysia hondurensis 15 m; shrub layer
of abundant Tripsacum latifolium, frequent Acoelorraphe
wrightii 3-5 m, Byrsonima crassifolia 5 m, occasional
Quercus oleoides 8 m. Partially burnt recently (1.5 month
previously). Gallery forest with abundant Xylopia frutescens
& Vochysia hondurensis.
