ROYAL BOTANIC GARDEN EDINBURGH E00554346 HERB. HORT. EDINB. Flora of Belize Euphorbiaceae Croton repens Schltdl. Toledo: Swasey Bladen Forest Reserve; 500 m West of fire tower and Southern Highway. 16°29'20" N, 88°35'39" W Rare shrub; lots of black ants. Open pine savanna. Frequent Pinus caribaea 8-15 m (<5%). Frequent Byrsonima crassifolia 1 m, occasional Acoelorraphe wrightii 3-5 m, Curatella americana 1.5 m, rare Quercus oleoides (1 m) & Gliricidia sepium 2.5 m (<5%). Grass dominated herb layer to 50 cm (40%). All shrubs have regrowth to ~30 cm after burn approximately 1 - 1.5 months previously. Collector: Goodwin, Zoé A.
