Open pine woodland savanna, turning into broken ridge. Abundant pine 17 m, 5%; shrub layer of occasional . Acoelorraphe wrightii 6 m & Byrsonima crassifolia 6 m; open grassland with a rich herb layer including abundant Chamaecrista desvauxii, frequent Hypericum terrae-firmae, Coutoubea spicata, Melochia spicata, occasional Ageratum radicans & Sauvagesia erecta. Not burnt for many years.
