Flora of Belize Dioscoreaceae Dioscorea matagalpensis Uline Stann Creek: All Pines road; ca. 2.5 miles along road, 50 m south of road. 16°46'S7" N, 88°21'29" W Occasional vine growing through Byrsonima crassifolia; small flowers & fruit. Open savanna grassland. Scattered shrub layer with occasional Byrsonima crassifolia 0.5 m, rarely to 5 m, Acoelorraphe wrightii 1 (-2) m & rare Curatella americana 0.5 m; sedge dominated herb layer.
