Open savanna grassland. Scattered shrub layer with occasional Byrsonima crassifolia 0.5 m, rarely to 5 m, Acoelorraphe wrightii 1 (-2) m & rare Curatella americana 0.5 m; sedge dominated herb layer. Badly burnt previous dry season.
