Caperonia castaneifolia (1L.) A. St.-Hil.
Belize: Burrell Boom; 1.5 Km north of Burrell Boom along
road to Scotland Halfmoon; 20 m south of road in last
savanna patch.
17°34'11" N, 88°27'31" W
Occasional herb 1 m; inflorescence a scorpioid cyme of
flowers with 5 white petals, distinctive 3 part fruit.
Open savanna grassland with frequent Acoelorraphe wrightii
5 m, Curatella americana 4 m and occasional Byrsonima
crassifolia 4 m. Dried out pool in savanna adjacent to
roadside.
