Det: Goodwin, Z.A. 9 February 2011 Cayo: Spanish Lookout; 2 miles west of Spanish Lookout. 17°14'26" N, 88°58'04" W Rare scandent herb-vine under oak thicket; young green fruit. Semi-open oak woodland. Abundant Quercus oleoides to 3 m, occasionally to 10 m, Acoelorraphe wrightii 5 m, occasional Byrsonima crassifolia 2-5 m & rare Pinus caribaea 5-10 m. Herb layer dominated by mix of sedges & grass with abundant Cassytha filiformis. Heavily disturbed; evidence of gravel extraction, piles of gravel, artificial drains, tracks & invasive weed species. Allegedly burnt every year, although site appears not to have been burnt for at least one year.
