Belize: Burrell Boom; 1.5 Km north of Burrell Boom-
Hattieville road, 2 Km north of prison.
17°30'59" N, 88°25'54" W
Locally frequent single-stemmed herb to 8 cm growing in
open grassland with Utricularia spp. and Schultesia
guianensis; single, dark purple stem with basal rosette of dark
purple leaves; flowers with 5 white petals and 5 yellow and
purple anthers.
Open savanna grassland with abundant Acoelorraphe wrightii,
frequent Byrsonima crassifolia, Curatella americana and rare
Crescentia cujete, punctuated by Eleocharis marshes and
forest thickets. Partially burnt previous dry season, evidence
of human disturbance including numerous tracks (some old
others well used) and some rubbish dumping. ,
