Goodwin, Zoé A. 5" June 2011 Flora of Belize Eriocaulaceae Orange Walk: San Felipe savanna; 18Km south of San Felipe- Blue Creek road. 17°45'S8" N, 88°50'48" W Occasional (locally frequent) tiny herb growing in sandy track ruts under Pine trees with Agalinis sp.; bright green leaves; silver sheen to inflorescences. Open savanna. Frequent Pinus caribaea to 15 m, frequent Curatella americana 2 (-4) m, Byrsonima crassifolia | (-5) m, Calliandra houstoniana | m, occasional Quercus oleoides 10 m & Crescentia cujete 4 m. Herb layer with frequent Agalinis harperi & Schultesia guianensis. Evidence of burn previous dry season.
